THE JOHN L. COHILL II SCHOLARSHIP

In memory of John Cohill — a dedicated wrestler and coach at Firestone High School who tragically lost his life in an automobile accident in 1983 while en route to wrestling practice
— the John Cohill Memorial Scholarship was established to honor his legacy of commitment, leadership, and service.

Eligibility:
Graduating high school seniors are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following
criteria:
• Participation: Wrestled in the Bill Dies Memorial Wrestling Tournament at any time
during high school.
• Service: Volunteered at the Bill Dies Memorial Wrestling Tournament for a
minimum of 3 years.

Selection Criteria:
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
• Volunteer service
• Extracurricular involvement
• Academic achievement and recognition
A letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or school official is required as part
of the application.
